About Number the Stars

The main characters in this story were Annemarie, Ellen and Kirsti. I think Annemarie were a selfish person because she won't care about other's feeling. She wanted to win in the athlete meets so she wanted Ellen to practice with her but actually Ellen was not really good at running. I thought Annemarie was a good sister because when her sister asked for a fairy tale before she slept so she immediately told her one. She was some how like a lier. She didn't want others to know bad things so she tried to keep her mouth shut but she couldn't shut her sister's mouth.

I thought Kirsti was a childish girl. Her brain was full of fairy tales and king and queen and princess. She obeyed her sister a lot as I saw that when Annemarie, her sister talked with her friends, she won't disturb her. She was brave too. She shouted at the German soldier. She was also a honest person because she told her mother about the things happened on the street but actually Annemarie wanted to hid this thing up.

Another thing I discovered in this story was having a sister or a brother was very important. Winter was really cold. If you stayed by yourself in the bed, and you didn't have heater. Your feeling wasn't good at all that night. If you have a sister or brother, you could sleep with them. This might be warmer than sleeping only by yourself.

History Assignment

The Economic that the 13 colonies and Hong Kong colony faced were only a few the same. Trading was one of the most important business for both the 13 colonies and Hong Kong colony. Ships were the transport for trading.
For the difference of economic of the 13 colonies and Hong Kong, there were many examples. In Hong Kong, ships were not only a transport anymore. Ships could be public transport. There were also airplane and cars. The large scale modern bank in Hong Kong Shanghai Bank has built up. Bank helped Hong Kong to develop to be the finicial affair of Asia. Hong Kong colony has free trading. They could have trading with every country and every goods and Britain won't control them. Hong Kong colony got free economic than the 13colonies. The 13 colonies were not free on their economic. They could only have trading with Britain. Also they needed to pay high tax. They didn't have a bank to help them to generate their money.
The Political Contexts were different. There was one person at the top of the power and took care all of the things. Therefore power were not totally seperate. People cut down their long hair because the Qing dynasty was not the one who control them. Britain didn't care about their hair style. People got their freedom of hairstyle. The 13 colonies were not free when Britain controlled them. They needed to obey the Britain. Britain ruled them with absolute power. They had less freedom than the Hong Kong colony.

Experience of visitng Ocean Park

This is the third time I went to Ocean Park but this is the first time I went with my classmates. This time I saw the bamboo eaters--the giant panda. Unfortunately they were sleeping. We went to a classroom and watch a film about the habitat, reproduction and some other information about the giant panda. In the afternoon, we went to another classroom. We listened to a talk about dolphin. We saw a dolphin skeleton which I thought is the most interesting. I couldn't believe that a 1 1/2 year-old dolphin was already 183cm long! That's taller than myself!
The thing I need to improve for next time was time management. As we had some free time this time, we could walk around and see different things. Ocean Park was really big, the time we predict to walk back to the place we gather was not enough. We was almost late for gathering. So next time we need to have better time management and plan where we go before we start.
